New to Jefferson Park Station
Jefferson Park, Chicago, a derelict neighborhood at the transportation junction is welcoming a mixed-use development that is both humble and utilitarian in character.
The four facades of the residential tower were designed with different angles and degrees of perforations depending on the amount of sunlight required by the interior programs. On the southwest side where the sun is the strongest, the facade has an interior layer of aluminum louvers for solar protection.
With the transportation center right across the site, this new community intervention activates public experience by brining residents together to new community venues.
